Scheduling


Scheduling in Warewolf Easy Service Bus (ESB) allows you to automate the execution of services on a given schedule.

The Scheduler leverages and utilises Windows Task Scheduler.

To schedule a service:

  1. Click the Scheduler icon:

  2. Select the Server from the drop down list that you want to schedule services on.
  3. Click New button.
  4. Click the Edit Trigger button at the top of the page.
  5. Set up your schedule as required and click OK.
  6. OPTIONAL: Give your new schedule a name. If you skip this step, the workflow name will be used.
  7. OPTIONAL: Set the Status to Disabled if you do not want this schedule to run.
  8. Click the ellipses “…” and select the service you want scheduled.
  9. OPTIONAL: Check “Run task as soon as possible after a scheduled start is missed.”
  10. OPTIONAL: Set the Number of History records to load. This setting determines how much history to show when viewing the history from the History tab.
  11. Enter a Username and Password that has “Log On As Batch Job Rights”. This is a Windows permission that allows the server which runs as a Windows service to execute the schedule.
  12. Click Save button.
